Just hours after a deadly shooting at a synagogue near San Diego, the President warned supporters at a Wisconsin rally that the Democrats will “take your guns away.”
At a campaign rally in Green Bay Saturday night, the President viciously attacked his “enemies” in media, the intelligence community, and the Democratic party. He railed against intelligence officials as “dirty cops” and “scum”, and followed with attacks on CNN’s ratings and the “fake news.” However, it seems particularly insidious, even for Trump, to try and instill fear in his supporters about guns just hours after a gunman opened fire on a synagogue with an AR-15 style weapon.

The shooting, which left one dead and three more injured, was the second synagogue shooting in the United States in the last 6 months. The attack is the latest in a string of hate crimes against minority groups, which are surging across the country.
Though the President acknowledged the shooting and said he was praying for the victims, his fear-mongering rhetoric continues to sow division and paranoia across the nation, leading to more hateful attacks.
